Car-bomb attack in Bugojno
Haris Čaušević from Bugojno, commonly known as “Oks,” confessed to having detonated a bomb that damaged the Bugojno police station last Sunday, June 27. The powerful bomb, hidden in a car parked just in front of the station, exploded at dawn, causing considerable destruction. Officer Tarik Ljubuškić (41) died at the scene, and Officer Edina Hindić (26) was severely injured. Four other police sustained non-life threatening injuries.

What do young people in Republika Srpska think about NATO?
Despite of the official foreign policy of BiH clearly favoring NATO membership, which very clearly goes towards NATO membership, the public is still wary. This is, especially particularly so in the Republika Srpska still shows the lack of trust.

Modern Threats and NATO’s New Strategic Concept
For Bosnia and Herzegovina, integration with NATO will mean more than military alliances and joint maneuvers. It will also require cyber integration and coordination against cyber threats as NATO continues to develop its own protocols for responding to cyber threats.

Hosting postgraduate students of the Royal College of Defense
Postgraduate students of the Royal College of Defense Studies from London visited Bosnia and Herzegovina from 14 to 17 June. On this occassion, the guests from the Royal College visited the School of Criminal Justice, Criminology and Security Studies and spoke students of the University of Sarajevo. The event was coordinated by the Embassy of the United Kindgdom of Great Britain and Northen Ireland and the Atlantic Initiative.

Turkish frigates visited Neum
Two Turkish warships visited the coastal town of Neum from 18 to 21 June during their peace and stability-keeping mission in the Mediterranean. The visit was also as a token of friendship and military cooperation between Republic of Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
